French Army - Marcel Vagné No.538

Hello,

today I'm showing you another sheet by Marcel Vagné.

This one is number 538 and belongs to a series dedicated to the various armies (or rulers) of Europe. A key feature is that each figure represents a different branch of the armed forces or a different uniform of a unit. Some of the armies depicted correspond to the period in which these prints were published, while others reference historical uniforms. Having already shown the sheets with the armies of Italy, Austria, and Germany, this one represents the French army.

Best regards,

Andreas

J.F.Schreiber R.610/12 (Mini) - Schwerer Minenwerfer

Hello,

today I'm showing you another JFS mini-sheet, or rather, a tiny section of one, as only one figure has survived.

Fortunately, the printed number of the sheet has also been preserved. It's number R.610/12. A whole series of sheets were released under the number 610, all dealing with the German military of the 1930s, so I suspect the "R." could simply stand for "Reichswehr". Furthermore, this mini-sheet doesn't have an additional Roman numeral – which would fit my theory, as there were no sheets with larger figures of this motif, as far as I know.

Best regards,

Andreas
